tl;dr; sweet jane (with affection)

I’m a BIG fan of live recordings, and covers. A good cover reflects the original artists vision as seen by the covering artist. The song I own the most versions of is the Velvet Underground’s Sweet Jane. I have 17 different versions. There’s an 18^th with Lou singing with Metallica that I’ve yet to collect.

This cover by Two Nice Girls is a mashup of Sweet Jane and Joan Armatrading’s Love and Affection. The second link is the amazing live version from Lou Reed’s Rock ‘n Roll Animal album. The guitar intro is amazing! I find them both magical.
