Alicia Keys released “Fallin'” on April 2, 2001. It was the lead single from her debut album and won three Grammy Awards in 2002.

When this woman came on the scene I was completely smitten. This singer/songwriter delivered song after song packed with heartfelt emotion: raw and unfiltered. She was a breath of fresh air to me. I have faithfully purchased every album she has released and she has continued to grow as both a musician and as a role model to women of color.
